West Coast Morgans trains its clients and staff to contribute to the health of the horses. We provide a variety of equine therapy modalities as part of our basic care. We want our equine athletes more competent through  flexibility, strength and conditioning, as well as excellent general health care. We create personalized conditioning plans, and use an Equi-Vibe therapy plate, massage and body work, cold laser, Bemer therapy and more. We are a facility that is trusted by equine practitioners in Tampa and Ocala, to act as a fully functional rehabilitative and nursing facility for short  and long-term clients. We take excellent care of our horses, and it shows. 

We want our clients and horses to be as comfortable as possible, and enjoy their lives with us.  

The horse stalls have automatic waterers, 1" stall mats, clean pine shavings, commercial fans, a fly-control  system, large windows and open stall fronts. The barn is modern and clean, with an insulated roof, exhaust fans, and a wide center aisle.  The grass pastures are seeded, fertilized, and irrigated.

West Coast Morgans feeding program is designed for the equine athlete as  well as older and those horses with special digestive needs. High quality feed products put a healthy glow on every horse, in conjunction  with the highest quality worming and vaccination program. All horses also utilize the SmartPak supplement system for their specific needs.  SmartPak guarantees accurate dosing every time. We feed 3 times a day which facilitates the horse's digestive process, and our ability to notice when a horse is not eating or feeling well. Our hay is straight Timothy, from Washington State or Western Canada, and we feed Purina Ultium, Enrich, and Senior.

WCM boasts many accomplished service professionals our needs. Some are local, others come all the way from Ocala - such as, equine performance and podiatry veterinary specialist, Dr. Brent Barrett. Our general practice needs and provided by Dr. Russell and Dr. Wilson of Russell Equine Sports Medicine. Advanced Equine Dental Services provides top dental services, and our talented blacksmith Ryann McDonald handles our blacksmith duties. WCM has a long-term relationship with Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala for any severe emergency needs that cannot be managed at home. 

WCM follows the medical guidelines from the State of Florida Agriculture Department. Worming and vaccinating our horses at the appropriate level has proven to diminish illness. Anne Winograd and Dr. Russell created a custom wellness plan for the WCM horses that helps keep them all at their best throughout the year. The wellness plan all routine lab work, vaccines, worming, and chiropractic services at a financial savings for the horse owners. The WCM staff continues to learn more about the cutting edge of veterinary medicine and farm management, and adapts new practices to provide a combination of tried-and-true systems as well as new and more efficient systems for better health and handling.
